It is a kind of rigid insulator that uses steel feet fixed inside the insulator to install the insulation parts rigidly on the supporting structure. An insulator may consist of one or more insulating parts permanently connected to each other. The insulating part of porcelain insulator is porcelain, and the surface is usually glazed with brown or white glaze. The fixation of porcelain parts and feet may be either detachable or permanent (pin insulators with adhesive feet).
